We got a chance to check out Resistance 3, by Insomniac Games, on our first day of E3 2011. Resistance 3 is a first person shooter (FPS) for PlayStation 3. We got to play hands on singleplayer, 3d and 2d. The game itself looked very impressive, graphically, but it seemed very unchanged from Resistance 2. There are a lot of 3d games at E3, but Resistance 3 was one of the few I saw that actually looked significantly better in 3d. While the game didn't offer much new, other than a different weapon system, it was still very fun. The controls are well done, the framerate is smooth and the world is convincing, but it will remain to be seen how the game turns out. If my demo is any indication then it will be a good solid game, but not anything new or innovative. They also had multiplayer demos but we did not get to try those yet.
