Well, my experiences thus far:

I created a new world and cleared out a whole dungeon. Getting the Gold Keys to open chests (most of the chests were gold, only two weren't I think)...Oddly enough, towards the end I ended up with a surplus of keys (6 or 7). Just FYI, it's not just dungeon chests that can be gold key locked as the first floating Island I went for required a key. Leads me to believe that every Golden Chest you saw before now requires these bloody keys. Excepting the Shadow Chests in the Underworld, which require the Shadow Keys.

Regular chests in the dungeon can contain Gold Keys I can confirm (One of the two had a gold key). I only found ONE Shadow Key, so I'll probably cross my fingers and hope for the best with it. I really want a Flamelash. I DO NOT need yet another Flower of Fire (I have like 4 of them). Sunfury would be an OK secondary reward I suppose.

Regen works fairly well. Mana regen is very fast, so long as you didn't suck up all your mana in short order. I have 200 mana (no boosts), and I regen it all back in a second or less if I just cast one spell (like Magic Missile or Orb of Light).

Orb of Light has been nerfed. It is rather dim now (which isn't mentioned). And yes, like the changelog states, it's slower (it was never fast to begin with as it was, so that really sucks).

Molten Armor's glow is just aesthetic now and not useful (doesn't light up the environment anymore). I imagine Meteorite Armor has this issue as well.

The above two issues are apparently because the update wanted players to focus on using Alchemy more (there are potions that provide light).

Most of the Furniture is just aesthetic as you might expect.

Some enemies seemed to be nerfed a little. I was able to one hit KO some enemies that took two hits before. Might just be the variable damage added in this update, but I dunno.

Hopefully a future update will allow us to craft boosted Rocket Boots (Rocket Boots that behave the way the old ones did. Never played with those). Not all of us need mana that much, and I for one could really make use of long boosts.

That sounds a little bit annoying. I haven't run into any new content so far, other than making some wood and stone stuff furniture. The beer keg, says you can make beer with it, but I don't know how and the guide doesn't say anything about it.

Have you run into any of the immortals? I don't get why they exist and to what purpose. I do like that there are goblin standards that you can make now, which summon the goblin army.

Potions are a lot more difficult to use now, healing ones that is. Especially, since they have timer before you can use any other healing items (not just potions). So now you can no longer spam potions to defeat bosses..not sure if that's good since the skeleton boss was already a bit hard.

@Lokai - Did you actually make a new world? A fair chunk of the content (such as shadow chests and gold key chests) are only available on new worlds.

Just a note you should put on the article. Based on my experience with this update, someone buggered up and instead of one of each of the Flower of Fires, Sunfuries, and Flamelashes we get One flower of fire (which is proper), TWO sunfuries, and 0 flamelashes.

Yeah I finally found a lot of that new content today, but me and a friend were tromping around The Dungeon area for a long time. Unfortunately, we found maybe 4 keys for something like 10+ locked chests in there.

@@Lokai@ - You can disregard what I said before about the Sunfury. Apparently unlike other chest items, a world isn't guaranteed one of them. Took me several world generations before I found one. On the plus side, Small worlds CAN get them too.

The slimes in the Dungeon are weird, in terms of them actually appearing. When I first entered the dungeon I found two slimes within a minute or so...Then nothing for like 15 minutes (this sort of process repeated for my entire visit pretty much). By the time I was done with the dungeon though, I had a 7 key surplus. You need golden keys for floating islands too it seems (like I said in my first comment), but not gold chests buried in the dirt (those are the same as they were before the update).

Good thing you only need one shadow key though ^_^
