Rage Diary Mash-Up

Rage is a first person shooter that takes place in a apocalyptic wasteland, like Borderlands and Fallout 3. It looks to have the city life and atmosphere of Fallout 3, but with a stronger combat system that is more twitch based (like any Unreal game). There is also a level of customization that looks pretty impressive, oh and vehicles! With vehicles, comes some big open environments that look absolutely gorgeous. It looks to be fairly non-linear, but it looks to likely be close to Fallout 3's quest system where you can do most quests at your own pace. I have to say that the more I see of this game, the more I like and the more I long for it's release on October 4th. It is being developed by Id Software and produced by Bethesda Softworks. It looks to be coming out for PS3, Xbox360 and PC. To get a small glimpse of a full gameplay segment, watch the well trailer.

The Well Gameplay Trailer

They have come out with six developer diaries for Rage already and while some of them are pretty annoying (too much commentary + boasting and not enough gameplay), most generally show off some great looking segments. The world of Rage looks worth the admission price alone, it is beautiful in a pure apocalyptic fashion. I am not a huge fan of the how the combat looks, but any fans of Quake or Unreal should love it. Well have fun watching these, I don't expect anyone to watch them all, they run around four minutes each, but they do show off why Rage is unique and very well done. Thanks for reading.
