Trine 2 Gamescom

Trine was an attractive puzzle platformer indie game that cost more than it probably should have, but I thankfully got it on sale from some steam sale at some time or another. It was developed by Frozenbyte and produced by Atlus. You had three characters, a warrior, a rogue and a mage. They all had different uses and unique abilities, along with customizable inventories. For instance, the mage could create blocks and platforms for you to use. The game started out simple, but it had many levels and they got increasingly complicated. It mixed combat and platforming at all times. Everything about the game was pretty polished and enjoyable, but the one thing people complained about was the lack of a cooperative mode.

Trine 2 has just come out with it's first details and trailer. You still have the same three characters and it is the same type of game, just improved looking. The trailer mainly shows off the new platforming challenges and improved graphics, but they have revealed that the game will have cooperative mode now. People complained about the high price of Trine 1, so for Trine 2 they promise it will be more in line with indie pricing (less than $30). That's all the details about it for now, but it looks pretty great. Check out the trailer and check back later for more news. Thanks for reading.
