ARMA 3 Gamescom Presentation

During Gamescom Bohemia Interactive showed off a presentation of ARMA 3, that presentation is now on YouTube for our viewing pleasure. Why they didn't take eight videos and put them into one..I don't know, it's somewhere between 10-20 minutes long in total, but the presentation shows off some new features and a promising looking game. For anyone unaware with ARMA 3, it is the successor to Armed Assault (ARMA) 2, a tactical military simulator (sort of), that came out for PC in 2009 and a had a expansion come out for it, Operation Arrowhead, in 2010. The whole game recently went free-to-play in 2011. It was a fun game that people loved for it's realism, huge world, tons of depth, but it was hated for it's super buggy release, sporadic AI and it's engine that was not optimized for most machines. The new game takes everything from ARMA 2 and tries to improve it, while adding new mechanics and environments to the world. My favorite part of these videos happens to be in the beginning, they show off the new underwater environments and also some new stealth features. The island they are making looks to provide an unique environment, as always, and the areas they show off are huge and detailed. I loved ARMA 2, despite all of it's flaws, and I hope they take their time optimizing ARMA 3 for a wide variety of computer set-ups. Thanks for reading and be back with more later on Sengoku and Chivalry Medieval Warfare. Enjoy the videos and commentary.
