Battlefield 3 Beta Revealed

Have you pre-ordered Battlefield 3 already? If you so you will be playing the Battlefield 3 beta on September 29th, a little more than week from now. If you have pre-ordered BF3 from Origin, EA's digital distributing service, or if you own a tier-1 version of Medal of Honor, then you will get into the beta starting on September 27th. The beta will run until October 10th and the first mode it will feature is rush with the map Operation Metro.  You will be able to enter the beta on PS3, Xbox 360 or PC, all on September 29th. On PSN and XBLA the beta will show up on the marketplace/store on September 29th, so I guess no early early access for consoles. If you are accessing the beta through the a Medal of Honor Tier 1 purchase, it must have been made before July 26th, 2011, and your cd key should be in your cd key library on steam. The beta will be available in North America, South America, Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Oddly enough, there are no level caps or equipment caps in the beta, something that I've never seen before. They may have just included only half the content or something in order to compensate for that.

Now that all the mumbo jumbo is out of the way let me say that I'm a little disappointed that they are doing only one mode and one map at the start, especially since there will be a huge amount of people destroying their servers. Also, the mode and map they are showing off at first are both familiar to previous beta testers or even people who got to play BF3 at gaming conventions (E3, Gamescom etc.). Hopefully, they will follow Red Orchestra's way of doing a beta and switch up the maps every week, in order to test different maps and keep the beta testers happier. That's it for this update, hope to see some of you in the beta and I really hope it's not disappointing, I heard bad things about the previous beta's during summer. Thanks for reading and if you want to see the full beta info check out one of these two websites below.
