Minecraft Adventure Update Trailer

1.8 is still coming and now its coming soon, but still no actual release date. They have released a trailer for the update which shows off about twenty seconds of new stuff. To go back to my last post about this update, the update will contain things like living friendly NPC's, new bow mechanics, different weapon system, randomly generated towns, new enemies, new health system (with food and hunger), larger biomes, a improved world creator mode (more stuff to use and more freedom) and some kind of skill point system. There will also be Endermen (fantastically creepy monsters) and randomly generated dungeons. Overall, it looks like a great update and something to reinvigorate those of us who love Minecraft, but have played the crap out of it. Hope we hear a release date from Mojang soon.

Minecraft 1.8 Trailer

I was hoping to bring some Dead Island impressions, but the game is pretty unstable at the moment, since they released the wrong version of their game on Steam. Oh and I loaded it back up, which made it forget all my progress and start me in a weird area of the game I've never been to before...good stuff. So maybe I will be able to later tonight. Thanks for reading.

Yeah, I'm a bit interested in this! Hopefully it doesn't end up rage-inducingly hard >_>

The server I've been playing on is going to change their map when 1.8 comes out. I put a lot of time and effort into that map, so I'm a bit saddened by that ~_~

Yeah I know what you mean. We used to have a big huge map, but my friend who hosted it got awful internet and couldn't host anymore.

I find myself playing the first few days in minecraft... quiting... starting over... playing the first few days.... repeat...

I love the survival feeling but it fades once I can handle myself...

I hope this adventure patch helps this situation and adds some real danger...

yeah. I really like that there will be random places to find, adding some kind of goal to the game or draw to exploring.
