The Last of Us
This is the new game by Naughty Dog, the makers of the Uncharted series. It is about a post apocalyptic world filled with infected people. Yup, another zombie game, but one made by Naughty Dog is bound to be very interesting and as much as I am tired of zombies games I am interested in anything that the talented individuals at Naughty Dog create. Check out this non-gameplay announcement trailer.
Fortnite
Another zombie game! Let's get all the zombie games out of the way right away. This one is made by Epic Games, the creators of the Gears of War series. If the trailer reflects the art style in anyway then we can expect a cartoon styled zombie with an emphasis on building and scavenging. The trailer also suggests that the zombies are being controlled by aliens or some kind of creature. No one has ever done a large scale zombie title with a focus on anything other than surviving and killing zombies, so I'm quite interested to see how this game developers. Check out the non-gameplay trailer.
Command and Conquer: Generals 2
Bioware's big announcement was indeed a Command and Conquer game. This game is using the Frostbite 2 engine, Battlefield 3's engine, and says that the trailer is actually in-game rendered, if so that is fairly impressive. There isn't any real information about the game yet, except that it seems to take the same idea as the first C&C Generals by using a modern setting with futuristic weaponry. Bioware has never made an RTS as far as I'm aware and I don't believe they can make C&C as enticing as it once was but I would love to be proven wrong.
Alan Wake: American Nightmare
The new Alan Wake for XBLA has finally been revealed. It looks to be much like the original game, with the same gameplay but with a new story and locations. I really enjoyed the original Alan Wake game and I'm very curious about the length and quality of the game now that it's a standalone XBLA title. Check out this mostly gameplay trailer.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
So what happens if you take Ninja Gaiden and mix it with Metal Gear? Apparently you get Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. This game looks absolutely ridiculous. You definitely have the Metal Gear world but then you get Raiden and his fellow robotic samurais running around slicing everything in half. This game doesn't seem particularly geared towards Metal Gear fans but who knows how it will turn out. Check out this new trailer with some gameplay.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, the newest in the recent well received Transformers video game series, had already been announced but this is the first real cinematic they have shown for it. The important thing that this trailer shows is that the game is coming out next Fall, 2012. I always meant to play Transformers: War for Cybertron, but it had always put me off that it was Transformers, but that game was fairly well received as one of the best Dynasty Warriors types of games in a very long time. Check out this newest non-gameplay trailer.
Diablo III
Blizzard is known for their skill at making excellent cinematics and once again they showed off their skills with the Diablo 3 Opening Cinematic that they showed tonight at VGA. I can't say I've been following the story for Diablo 3 but this cinematic is pretty great looking, otherwise it doesn't show off anything new or release any new information about the game. Diablo 3 is going to come out someday and it will probably be really great but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that day to come.
Bioshock Infinite
This new Bioshock Infinite trailer mainly shows off story and a tiny bit of gameplay. The game still looks great and I cannot wait for it to get here, that is all.
