It feels like every week or two Trendy Entertainment releases new content for Dungeon Defenders. Fans of the console version often feel neglected as a result of all this new content, especially since most of it hasn't come to the console versions and likely won't ever do so, something they discussed in the last Dungeon Defender Digest (their newsletter for the game). This week they are talking about a new class, console events and a Valentines Day event. Last time I wrote about Dungeon Defenders they had just released the Barbarian Class and the Assault Map Pack. Now we have a couple vague updates coming, read on to check those out.

Firstly is the Valentines Day update which merely says "Continuing the spirit of being gracious and kind, it’s almost time for the Etherian Festival of Love. Started by two major candy factories in Etheria, this annual festival features more than just chocolate and cuddles. In fact, you’ll have to play matchmaker for Etheria’s goblins and orcs, making sure they find their mates this holiday!" With that we have the two screenshots above and no further details. Presumably it's a single challenge map that will involve some kind of a new mechanic that may have nothing to do with layering the map with the bodies of the invaders. It certainly looks pretty eye-catching, once again showing off some of their impressive map design skills. The second big thing is a reveal of the Series EV new class. Unlike the Barbarian the Series EV uses some kind of new defensive type of skills/abilities. The class will apparently be coming "soon".

Next they have announced an upcoming PvP Console Event. Today and tomorrow, the 9th and 10th of February, they will be holding a free-for-all pvp event with the console between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST. There be a grand prize of the Krayt Junior Pet, shown below, and it will take place on Lifestream Hollow. You merely need the Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards Pt.1 DLC and you must message either TrendyEnt1, TrendyEnt2 and TrendyEnt3 to enter the event. More information about that here.

There will also be two different community events hosted on the PS3 version. You have The Dark Crucible's Defenders of Eternia event and The Dungeon Defenders Winter Olympics. There is plenty of information about all of the community events over at the Dungeon Defender Digest for February 8th. Thanks for reading and be back with something new shortly.
