Dungeon Defenders Mac Release and News

To celebrate the release of Dungeon Defenders on Mac tomorrow there is a big new DLC and also a free weekend on Steam. The free weekend will go from today, Thursday the 15th, until 1 p.m. on Sunday the 18th. While this is going the game and all DLC, except for the Lost Eternia Shards DLC, will be 50% off. Now for all the information on the Mac release before I go into the new DLC and updates. If you own the game already on PC you can pick it up for Mac for free, plus all DLC you own will transfer over, otherwise the game will be regular $15, that is except for this weekend. There is also a upcoming patch that will have cross platforming between Mac and PC. If you want you can help beta test the Mac version tonight, but you need to own the PC version to participate in that. Now onto other news.

Check out the DLC Info Below
Console Patch News
Console fans have been clamoring for a patch or DLC for a very long time, but Trendy Entertainment has had trouble getting those updates onto PS3 and Xbox 360. Now there is some good news, they plan to release a console patch and the Lost Eternia Shards DLC on April 10th for PS3 and April 11th for Xbox 360. They say that the long wait is due to troublesome console submissions processes that make any update or DLC need a great deal of approval. Now onto the new DLC.

Quest for the Lost Eternia Shard Part 2
As you can tell this DLC brings has an Arabian Nights theme and it looks pretty great visually. Content wise you will be getting new missions, boss, weapons, pets, skins, music, cut-scenes and more. They claim that this DLC should be very polished, although most of their content seems to be very polished. If you have the Eternia Shard's complete pack you get this one for free, otherwise it will cost $4 and will come tomorrow on March 16th. If you have been wanting more content then this should keep die hard fans busy a while longer.

If you don't want to buy anything there is good news, there will be a free Lucky Community Costume Pack on Friday that will have a Batgirl, Mad Hatter, Barbarian and some kind of steam punk costume. Other than all this there is actually a new patch coming out as well, 7.20. This patch is pretty hefty looking and contains many changes. The most interesting ones seem to be new achievements, cross-platform steamplay, level cap raised to 78, hardcore mode gives better rewards and a new "super-secret awesome" reward for anyone who can earn Transcedent Challenge Champion. There is quite a bit more than that as well and you can take a look at all on the Dungeon Defenders Digest post that contains all of this information.  Check out some of the new free costumes and I will leave some links below for anyone who wants to check out the news, or game, some more. Thanks for reading.
