Dishonored is an upcoming sci-fi game all about assassinating people and choices. You play a supernatural assassin who is a royal protector to the empress, but the game starts out with you getting falsely accused of her murder. The whole game is about clearing your name and apparently one of the chief ways of doing that is assassinating those who set you up. It is first person and everything takes place within the steampunk city of Dunwall. You have abilities like teleport, double jump, possession and more that you use to help you get past enemies and get revenge. It is being developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. There hadn't been a lot shown of the game until recently, but now Gamespot has snagged themselves a developer interview of sorts in which two of the developers go through many aspects of the game and a bit of gameplay is shown. Check that out below.
The game certainly does sound unique and interesting, but how will it fare against the likes of Bioshock: Infinite? I can partly answer my own question by saying that this game is much more brutal looking and looks to have a different style of just about everything, but they are both in similar settings and both of them do have main characters that use powers to get them through tricky situations. I can't wait to see more on it and I will do another post as soon as we get some info and gameplay. It will be coming out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and I am really hoping that we will get to see it in person at E3 this June. Thanks for checking it out and you can find out more about the game at their main website below.
