Among The Sleep

In-game screenshot - work in progress

I never thought I would see a horror adventure game that puts you in the first person perspective of a two year old baby, but Among The Sleep has done just that. You play as a child who ventures out into his home after being put to bed and you find mysterious events occurring. The game starts in your house as you wander downstairs, but the world of Among The Sleep is far more fantastical than a simple house. You adventure out into mystical forests as you see the world through the mind of two year old, a mind filled with limitless possibilities. There isn't a ton of information on the game yet, but read on for a bit of information on the developers and to see the first trailer for the Among The Sleep.

This game is being made for PC & Mac by Krillbite Studio out of Hamar, Norway. They won a the Norwegian Game Hype award and the Hamar Game Challenge Award in 2011, plus they received 40,000 USD in funding for the game from the Norwegian Film Institute. It is the first game by this studio that is made up of eleven students from the College of Hedmark. They are inspired by games like Journey and Dear Esther for their artistic and non-linear approach to story telling.  I wouldn't have heard of them at all if it wasn't for their gameplay teaser video that they released today and it is an intriguing trailer. Check it out and watch out for this game.
