I cannot contain myself. Company of Heroes is one of my favorite real time strategy games of all time. Company of Heroes made Relic the successful developer they have become. Before COH they had created the first Dawn of War games, based in the Warhammer 40k Universe, and the beloved Homeworld series, but COH was their first game hugely successful game and it was to be followed by the successful Dawn of War 2 series. Many have worried, justifiably, the Company of Heroes 2 had been cancelled since Relic is part of THQ and they have had some terrible financial problems in the last year, none of which had anything to do with Relic, but more the failure of other games and projects in their umbrella. PC Gamer announced today that they will have an exclusive reveal of Company of Heroes 2 in their upcoming June edition of their magazine, which will be out on May 9th in the UK and May 22nd in the US.


The only information given for COH 2 so far is that it is going to be focused on the Eastern Front of World War 2, Russians versus Germans. There will be a great deal of snow covered landscapes, an environment that did not exist in the first COH. There will be a new cover system and the game will be coming out in 2013. That's all the information available right now, but expect a lot more to role out once those issues of PC Gamer are released. For now all I have to say is do you think this is kinderparty?
