Not too long ago they added new kill cams, kinect support for the Xbox 360 version of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and a whole ton of fixes for the game in general, seen here, but now they are coming out with a new patch that will be adding Mounted Combat and a whole ton of general fixes/changes. The 1.6 patch is currently not out yet, but like most of their patches you can opt-in to the beta version of Skyrim and try it out before it is officially released. Of course you can only try the beta if you are playing the game on Steam for PC. The patch will be coming to all versions of the game and seemingly at the same time.
Mounted Combat will let you fight with melee and ranged weapons, but you cannot cast magic. Although I'm sure some modders will be hard at work to let players cast magic while on their horses on the PC version. If you would like to check out all of the information on it head on over to the Bethesda Blog post, which also has the 1.6 changelog. Bethesda is still working on their Dawnguard DLC, but they may hold off till E3 to show anything on that. Thanks for reading If you would like to see combat in action you may check out this video below that IGN put up today.
