Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royal E3

Ever since its announcement, Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royal has raised a lot of speculation around the gaming community. Some say it's the Smash Bros. killer, while others think the Playstation game developers just got lazy, either way the game is a blast.  The title says it all, Playstation All-Stars features a roster of the biggest characters in the Playstation universe and duke it out using signature moves. Read on for some gameplay and impressions.

I got my hands on the demo at E3 and I must say, I had a lot of fun.  Even though there were only four characters to choose from: Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Sly and Fat Princess, each character had their own signature attacks and felt balanced.  I played as Sweet Tooth, I was armed with a chainsaw attack and a shotgun blast to the face, his abilities were all close ranged with no long ranged attacks so Kratos got the best of me with his long chain swords. There was only one level available to play, which had moving traps that players had to dodge or they would take extra hits.

Overall I really enjoyed the game.  They also had the PS Vita version available to play, it seemed like the controls were a little more difficult, but the graphics on the screen were impressive.  I think any fan of Smash Bros. or people want to see their favorite Playstation characters duke it out should check this game out.
