The Walking Dead Episode 2

It is officially here, sort of. The second episode of Telltale Game's The Walking Dead is out today, but only for Xbox 360. Everyone else, PC and PS3, will have to wait until it releases on Friday the 29th. There are already some reviews up for the Episode 2: Starved For Help, but I will be getting up one over the weekend once I get my hands on it on Friday. If you don't know anything about the game's let me give you a brief overview. Telltale's The Walking Dead is a point and click adventure game with a heavy emphasis on player choice and story. Unlike most other zombie games out there, these have very direct action and they instead assault you with difficult choices that could end up with the death of a character. You can read our review of Episode 1 here. There are going to be five episodes of the game and they are currently trying to release an episode every month to a month and a half. Here is a trailer for Episode 2.

If you didn't read my review let me just say that I really enjoyed the first episode and I think it has a ton of potential, but it did have a few sound bugs (which is annoying when everyone is voiced) and there was some pretty lackluster graphical designs. If they can fix the bugs and make the graphics a little less jarring then this series could turn out to be excellent. If you only purchased the first episode you will be able to purchase the second episode individually, but if you haven't played the game at all you can purchase all five episodes for $20-$25 (it's usually on sale when an episode releases). If you come into this expecting a good story with some really interesting and challenging choices then you may just love the game, but check back this weekend for a review of Episode 2.

Before I head onto a new post I just wanted to share something really fantastic with anyone who has played the first episode. If you have not played the first episode do not watch this! It is a video Telltale Games made to show the choices people made during the first episode. If you've played it is pretty interesting. Check it out. Once again, if you ever intend on playing these games or even if there is a chance you might ever play it, do not watch this, it will ruin much of the first episode.

(Huge Spoiler Warning for Episode 1)
